Call for Papers & Fee-Free Guest Editorial : Special Edition on Advancing LGBTQ+ Health Equity

We are pleased to announce a Call for Papers and Fee-Free Guest Editorial for a forthcoming Special Edition of the Global Health Management Journal, dedicated to "Advancing LGBTQ+ Health Equity". This special issue is targeted for publication in 30 June 2025, aligning with Global Pride Month, to highlight critical research and advancements in this vital area of public health.

Global Health Management Journal is committed to addressing significant health challenges and promoting innovative solutions. This special edition provides a platform for scholars and practitioners to contribute research that explores the unique health needs, disparities, and management strategies relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other diverse sexual and gender identity populations worldwide, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia and other global contexts.

We invite high-quality original research articles, systematic reviews, case studies, and policy analyses, review, across a range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • LGBTQ+ Health Disparities and Healthcare Access: Identifying barriers and proposing innovative solutions for inclusive healthcare.
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health in LGBTQ+ Populations: Addressing specific needs, challenges, and interventions.
  • Mental Health and Well-being in LGBTQ+ Communities: Research on stigma, discrimination, resilience, and effective mental health support.
  • Health Promotion and Education for LGBTQ+ Youth: Exploring impactful programs and initiatives that improve health outcomes.
  • Policy and Management for LGBTQ+ Health Equity: Analyzing healthcare policies, system management, and organizational practices that advance or hinder health equity.
  • Intersectionality in Global Health for LGBTQ+ Individuals: Examining how various social determinants (e.g., race, socioeconomic status, geographic location) intersect with sexual orientation and gender identity to influence health outcomes.

Call for Guest Editorial

In conjunction with this Special Edition, we are also inviting respected reviewers of the Global Health Management Journal to consider contributing a Guest Editorial to this important issue. As a special incentive for this edition, there will be no publication fee for invited Guest Editorial submissions.

If you are a current or past reviewer or willing to join the Editorial Board Members for GHMJ with expertise in LGBTQ+ health or related fields, and are interested in this leadership opportunity, please express your interest by emailing GHMJ@inschool.id prior your submission to the journal with a brief statement of your relevant experience and motivation before the due date June 06, 2025.
