Submission Deadline: July 31, 2025 | Publication Date: August 31, 2025

Overview

In recognition of global health observances this August—including World Breastfeeding Week (August 1–7), International Youth Day (August 12), and World Humanitarian Day (August 19)Global Health Management Journal (GHMJ) announces a Special Issue titled:

“Youth, Resilience & Community Health in a Changing World”

This issue will feature evidence-based research, field innovations, and policy insights that highlight the role of youth, family structures, and community systems in building resilient and equitable health outcomes. We welcome work across diverse settings, especially those affected by crisis, inequality, or rapid transformation.

Why This Topic Matters

Today’s global health landscape is shaped by interconnected challenges—climate change, conflict, pandemics, digital shifts, and economic uncertainty. Youth are often among the most affected, yet they also hold transformative power to reshape health systems from the ground up.

Simultaneously, community health resilience, including support for maternal and child health, mental health, and local knowledge systems, is increasingly seen as a frontline defense during emergencies.

By focusing on youth empowerment and grassroots health systems, this issue seeks to advance the understanding of how communities can recover stronger, faster, and more equitably—and how health strategies can be inclusive of both tradition and innovation.
