More than ever before, the global pandemic of Covid-19 has impacted our communication. Universities managed to ditch face-to-face lectures and switch their teaching methods virtually. This situation leads to significant challenges for the higher education community worldwide, especially for those who have little experience with online learning may. On top of that, remote teaching sometimes leads to miscommunication between students and teachers.

As one of the leading institutions in the health education and facilitator for Indonesia and Thailand, Indonesian Scholars' Alliance and Poltekkes Kemenkes Palangka Raya (Health Polytechnic of Palangka Raya) will organize a Health Forum and International Seminar (HFIS) with main theme "The New Normal: Creating A Pleasant Virtual Communication.

This seminar provides space for all students and education professionals worldwide to respond to the problem of communication barriers during virtual learnings. At the end of the seminar, targeted participants are expected to enhance their communication skills and bring virtual communication to a pleasant experience level.

 

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY

Participants of Health Forum & International Seminar (HFIS) are invited to publish a Photo Essay reporting results addressing global health issues on Nursing, Midwifery and Nutrition. The photographs can broadly describe the extension of political, social, and environmental determinants of health. Photo essays mostly comprise of high-resolution photographs that relate to health and well-being, with following topics of interests:

  4. Community Nutrition
  Author Guidelines

Photo essays mostly comprise of 10-15 high resolution photographs with 500-1000 words (exclude Authors Details dan References) of text on a topic that relates to health and well-being. No abstract is required for Photo essay. However, the description should lift the emotion of story or event that able to connect the content to health problems and solutions. Please follow APA style 6th citation style for the in-text citation and the references.

Authors hold the right to reproduce the photographs and must be able to provide Global Health Management Journal with permission to reproduce.

Please complete the registration form and complete all the required information. Submit the Photo Essay in .doc format only with one collumn. Before submitting your photo essay, the authors should select the topics of interest in the system.

The participants should submit the Photo Essays following the due date:

        • Early Bird (Not Later than 15 October 2020)
          • Students: IDR 400.000 (USD 28)
          • Public & Professional: IDR 500.000 (USD 34)
        •  Regular (Until 30 October 2020)
          • Students: IDR 550.000 (USD 38)
          • Public & Professional: Rp. 650.000 (USD 44)
